Mobile Food Pantry Celebrating
Join Hands Day — May 3, 2008

On the first Saturday in May, people across the country will come together for Join Hands Day to make a difference in their communities through helpful projects that connect youths and adults. Join Hands Day affords volunteers the opportunity to reach out to people they don’t know, to connect generations and to develop new relationships.

This year, Hands On Ogeechee will team up with partners America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia and the Statesboro Food Bank to distribute nearly 20,000 lbs of groceries to Bulloch County residents in need at the Mobile Food Pantry sponsored by Bi-Lo of Statesboro.

We're looking for about 150 willing volunteers to help unload, sort, and distribute food. Join us on Saturday, May 3 from 10AM-2PM to conclude an amazing National Volunteer Week of service!
