The HOO Book Drive is Back
& Better Than Ever
Our first book drive of 2008 will kick-off in the
month of April and continue through the end of National Volunteer
Week on May 3rd. We are accepting books and waste paper of all kinds.
In addition to paperbacks and hardbacks, we are now
able to take:
» encyclopedias
» magazines and periodicals
» phone books & directories
» trade journals, academic journals, and literary criticisms
» activity books (coloring books, crossword puzzles, etc.)
,
» case law and procedural law books
» custom course packets
» manuals (software, technical and other instructional manuals)
» tax preparation & other government documents
We'll event take those old, pesky book club editions,
Harlequin Romance Novels, Reader's Digest and Who's Who listings!
To arrange for a pick-up of books at your office, or organization's
meeting location, please email
books [ at ] handsonogeechee.net.
Books received will be redistributed to literacy programs,
sold for revenue to benefit HOO volunteer operations, or be recycled
to pulp.
